Big Brother: What Kalia should do . . .
Disclaimer: If you're not a fan, why the hell did you click on the link? Not everything has to please you, you know.

Tonight on Bi-i-i-g Brother, Jordan and Rachel decide whether to evict Shelley or Adam. Kalia has a vote, but it will be meaningless against the paired votes of Jordan and Rachel. But does it have to be meaningless? Here's what I would do: Kalia should go to Shelley and Adam separately and privately, and tell each of them that Kalia has been in conference with Jordan and Rachel. Jordan and Rachel have decided to evict Shelley/Adam, and you have decided for the sake of a little less drama in the house to make the vote unanimous. Nothing personal, Shelley/Adam, but my vote wouldn't save you anyway, please don't hold it against me.

Then, try to find out how Jordan and Rachel are voting, and vote the other way, engineering a 2-1 split. Jordan and Rachel will try to persuade whoever they don't vote out that they kept him or her around intentionally, and wouldn't that person like to ally with them? Kalia then goes to the survivor and says that Jordan and Rachel double-crossed her, and they can't be trusted. Stick with Kalia and Porsche, who have your best interest at heart.

I think Shelley is going to be voted out tonight, because Adam represents no threat to anyone. His skills in competitions, whether its strength, endurance, puzzle-solving or brain-power, are non-existent. Adam goes out as soon as there's an impasse between the two factions in the house, which will probably be the next round.

1. Do you want to just smack the hell out of Rachel?
I do.

2. She IS annoying
I had her name in the pool her first time around, so I had to tolerate her. But I was still glad when she got voted out. With any luck, she goes out soon. Very soon.

4. Yes, although she's a smidge less annoying without Brendan in the house.
I'm beyond irked at this Pandora's box twist. Blatant meddling meant to keep Rachal and Jordan in the house by production. Not that I'm naive and think it doesn't go on, but for it to be so openly obvious is grating.

8. Yeah, but Porche knew there was money
in it. She probably won't win, so I really can't blame her. $5000 ain't chicken feed!

11. I don't think anyone has ever turned down Pandora's box since it was introduced.
Production knew she would take it. I don't blame her.

3. Can you believe the death threats against Shelly's family??
I really don't understand why people are so angry towards her. It's Big Brother, not the Jeff and Jordan Show. Yes, she lied, but they all do.

I'll be kind of sad to see Shelly go. She at least keeps things interesting (even though I do tire of her crying all the time). Adam provides ZERO entertainment value, especially now that he's there with a bunch of women.

5. Totally agree.
It's going to be a total snoozefest if she goes. Hoping Kalia pulls out an HOH win at least.

6. Yeah, I wasn't rooting for Kalia at first
But she's growing on me and now I think I want her to take it. Actually, I wouldn't be too disappointed with Porsche either. I just want the vets to lose. I hate the way they came in thinking that they were going to run the house...and had it not been for Daniele, they would have been able to do just that.

15. I think out of everyone I'd be happiest with Kalia. This season has turned into such a bomb.
I wish they would have just decided to go all out All Stars instead of this crazy mix.

7. No, I can't believe it
But people are people, sad to say. Making threats against someone's family because of their play on a reality show is just nuts.

As for Shelley "lying" to Big Jeff, I wonder about Jeff's ever-shifting standard of ethical play? According to him, the only people who "deserve" to win are those who play the game exactly as he does. He has a strong competitive game, a decent social game, but his strategic game stinks on ice. If you're allied with him, you're golden, but the moment he senses you aren't 100% in his corner and doing everything you can to further his interests, he cuts people dead. His first season, when he was HOH at the round of five, he convinced himself that the third member of his alliance with Jordan (Eric?) was insufficiently loyal. "Eric" (or whatever his name was) had made an offhand comment about how hard he was going to compete to get to the final two, and Jeff jumped to the conclusion that Eric was plotting against him, so Jeff put Eric up and evicted him. It cost Jeff the very next round, and Jordan had to fight alone to make the final two.

This year, the same thing happened as Jeff's paranoia caused him to doubt Shelley's loyalty. Granted, Shelley has been making lots of side deals, and may not be the most trustworthy ally. But instead of anything concrete, Jeff's breaking point came because Shelley was talking too much with people Jeff didn't approve of. Jeff never sees anything wrong with his own behavior that he finds objectionable in others. This season could have been the Jeff and Jordan Show, but Jeff's paranoia forces him to play one way and one way only, and it doesn't work.

Jeff and Rachel keep talking about how they hate "floaters," but they were allied with the two biggest floaters of all, Jordan and Adam. Rachel herself hasn't exactly been a competitive powerhouse since Week 3 until she won the Veto this week. Jordan won one HOH competition that her alliance threw to her. Adam? I've seen more useful tits on a boar. But he is the last man standing in the house, so there's that. It's gotta be a little lonely for him now that his buddy Jeff is gone and there are no other guys to pal around with.

her fianSAY!?! Wasn't there a Seinfeld episode about that?? "My fee-an-say, fiansay ... fee-an-fuckin-say. It's obnoxious.

12. Few of my opinions about tonight (SPOILERS)
Edited on Fri Sep-02-11 12:09 AM by mvd
- So glad Shelly was evicted. She's not even an entertaining liar IMO. I sure hope she is different outside the house.

- I'm not a huge Rachel fan, but she's earned it with better social play this year and winning comps. Compared to the others, the choice is clear IMO.

- It's very possible Adam could slide to final 2

- Dani is spoiled/stuck up (remember when she was on slop?), and even though I didn't want it to be this way, the newbies annoy me more than the vets. Dani did make big moves, but her team was and is not likeable to me.

13. She's only marginally better with Brendan out of the house.
But with Brendan her social game was just as horrid. And she didn't fare nearly as well in comps this season. She's only winning them again because production is steering them her way. They started throwing physical comps her way, knowing she favors them, and with Jeff and Brendan gone her competition is pretty weak. It really isn't saying much. But I'd be okay with a Rachel win if her sleazy abusive boyfriend (excuse me, fiance) didn't get his gross mitts on it as well.
