15. Ah, I remember being 49....the FIRST time!

Yeah, 49 I was in the death throes of Perimenopause, dealing with soul-sucking migraines and the energy of a sloth. Kinda sucked, actually. I'll be 57 in December, and I'm so bloody glad to be on the other side of the hormone roller coaster, I can't even begin to tell ya! I can only say, hold on: it does get better. Now that the estrogen has truly left my bod like the rat leaving a sinking ship, I feel like I'm eleven again (eleven with my mother's face, may I add! But physically, I wouldn't trade a minute to be young and go through it again.)

So that's my b'day vibe to you: getting older isn't all bad. And you'll have kittehs to support you and see you through the worst...

Oh, yeah. Kitteh's don't do that. They'll lay across your lap licking themselves while you freak out watching TV shows populated with embryos born in 1991. I know this cuz I have a kitteh too. (And we love them anyway!)

So happy b'day from the home of the Niners. The team that have made me at times proud and at others wanting to leave the house with the Bag O' Shame over my head. Hope the day and the year are great!
