I have walked out of more than one place telling the employee, "The music in here is so bad and so loud I can't hear myself think -- sorry, can't stay to buy anything. Pass it along to your manager." Anyone else bothered by excessive sound tracks from restaurants to the local grocery store?

1. Have you asked them to turn it down? I have.
Just did this the other day and all they did was turn it down. It wasn't "bad" music. It was just too loud.

2. I have, and have been told "we have no control over the volume." Now I don't bother.
