1. Meh -I see plenty of women at the Rush concerts I've been to

(not a huge crowd but enough) , for me its just too entertaining to get up and go out of my seats during it. Been to two concerts now, I've never gone to the bathroom during the show..which is three hours long. I suspect the women there are like me. Don't want to miss anything.:)

which makes complete sense. The real mystery is why would men, even drunk men, pay good money for 3 hours of screetchy, pretentious, soul-less cacophony from the 1970s?

How is not their fault? There are 3 of them -- they can't hear each other?? They have been playing that crap for 35 years, heck maybe THEY turned off their monitors.

4. My two Rush concerts have been the two best concerts I've ever seen

And I've been to the Who, The Rolling Stones, Dixie Chicks and others who were good performers.
Like many on this site, you can't seem to distinguish your personal opinion from actual fact. Rush has been touring for 30+ years in nice size arenas (10,000-14,000 generally), selling out most of them. Somehow, I doubt your opinion of them is based in any kind of reality. Oh and I've met and talked to plenty of other female Rush fans, so this meme that female fans are non-existent is kinda a myth. In fact I had a couple sitting in the same row with me at the other concert.
But hey, if YOU don't like them clearly they are a terrible band...:sarcasm:
Christ, if you don't like Rush,fine, but I find the haters responses to Rush to be narrow minded stupid and almost freeperish at times. I don't go around posting on threads about other bands I don't like about how awful they are (well, I make an exception for the Beastie Boys just to annoy Flvegan).
BTW, Rush also has a lot of very progressive themes in their songs, including an endorsement of rationalism. Clearly they are all idiots...:sarcasm:

13. fellow DUer, surely as a Rush fan you must know that they are

polarizing. People love them or hate them. I think my opinion is just that: an opinion (based on the reality that Rush is pretentious horse crap sung by Peter "Time to Change" Brady... I keeed, I keed).

Appreciation of music is subjective. It is not based on facts (like the fact that there were very few women at that show).

Robert does NOT talk while on stage - only Adrian addresses the audience and he's not scary.

I met Fripp very briefly once when he did a Frippertronics show here in 1979. He's only about 5'7" but he positively radiates a physical aura of power like no other human I have ever met - you instinctively step away from him, and I am 6'1"/215 lbs. I suspect he actually is a Vulcan.
