TV Products that are actually as good as they say
Edited on Mon Jun-27-11 01:08 PM by edhopper
I have two from info commercials that are great products, as good as the hype.
My George Foreman Grill is versatile and well made kitchen tool.
And my Total Gym lets me get a full workout at home.

2. That's my point
most of them seem like overpriced crap that can be done with better and cheaper products. But these two really are good. So are there others?

3. Some of those products are good but I won't buy them from any TV offer
Because many time those TV offers have alot of fine print that end up costing you way more than you expect.

My favorite product from a TV add is Easy Feet.

It's this oversized flip flop thing you put in your shower that allows you to scrub the bottom of your feet. My feet are always disgusting so I love this product for cleaning my feet.

https://www.buyeasyfeet.com/

That's the product; however, I bought mine for $10 at my local Walgreen's.

24. My review of Easy Feet
My biggest problem is dirty feet - I need to wash my feet every night before I go to bed else I'll end up with gross feet in my nice clean bed.

So I bought the thing and for the most part it works.

The good thing is this - it does scrub your feet real nicely. I just squirt a bit of body wash or even hand soap onto the bristles and I scrub. 30 seconds later my feet are all nice and clean.

I have found that the suction cups do not stick well.

There is a pumice stone at the back of the Easy Wash and it ended up breaking on me. No biggie.

If your goal is clean feet then this is worth it but if you are hopping for soft heels - I'd go oldschool. I'd give it a 3.75 out of 5 stars.

The fact that I use this thing almost every day made it worth the $10 I paid for it.

I may buy one! :hi:

Anything to help me wake up in the morning, even if it's due to getting my feet tickled while cleaning :P

4. The NuWave Infrared Oven is really great.

I got one as a gift a coupla years ago. I don't watch infomercials so I had never heard of it before I got one. It does everythings it claims, and does a pretty good job, too. I like using it in the summer, when I don't want to heat the big oven up to cook something. It also does a good job of cooking meat that is frozen, so you don't have to worry about defrosting ahead of time.

8. I agree
Okay, it's not for frozen pizza... the crust never gets crisp. But it does a good job on chicken breasts, meatloaf, fries, that sort of thing.

11. Completely agree about the George Foreman Grill and my
Jack LaLane Juicer is the bomb - I juice all kinds of fruits & veggies now vs. just using a citrus juicer. I'm also a fan of the WEN haircare product - I normally use Aveda products but love have an occasional, non-detergent alternative.

Funny story - my Mom ordered one of those contraptions that's supposed to firm your neck; it doesn't work and it's torturous to use and she looks like a moron while using it.

16. I like that new foot washer thing
it has suction cups, you place it at the bottom of your shower/tub and it has a pumice stone/brushes that scrub your feet. Beyond me being beyond ticklish/laughing my ass off when I use it, it does work rather well.

I also like the Lightswitch/remote gadget. You plug your lamp/tv/whatever into the device, and plug it into the wall out let. You have a little light switch gadget that you can place anywhere you want/or near the bed/night stand, so whenever you want to turn your light/whatever off, you flick the switch the appliance shuts off.

28. The Save-A-Blade razor sharpener
Since I got mine 1.5 years ago I am on my 4th blade. I get @ 5 months per blade.
I shave every other day because my beard is light. I used to get @ 10 to 14 shaves/ blade. Now it is in the 75+ range.
So it has easily saved me from buying new blades. The shave still feels good up to the very end. But when it is done, you can tell, just like before.

First blade went from Feb. 2010 to Aug 2010. Second lasted til January. Third til May. Two months on the current blade.

that's wicked awesome. Just looked it up on amazon, and it's less than $8...plus prime eligible (free ship)...I went grocery shopping today, got the hubby a pack of razor blades (we share the same handle, and use separate blades)$15 for friggin five blades. I'm ordering one of the sharpeners.

thank you! :hi:

29. Total Gym; Fluidity Bar; Wen hair care; Oxyclean; Shark Portable Steam Pocket Mop
All really good.

Actually, re the Total Gym and Fluidity Bar, I bought them locally (from a Total Gym warehouse outlet, and Fluidity Bar from Craigslist for just $30) but first saw them on TV.

Come to think of it, I got the Steam Pocket Mop from Craigslist as well.

Also, after the first few times, I got the Wen hair stuff on Ebay for much less than the Wen company.

Rule of thumb: always check Craigslist and Ebay for these products at much better prices.

It's the best vacuum I've ever had. It's not a Dyson, but I don't have $500 to spend on a vacuum; $200 was more than enough for me. And it gets up everything.
