Who Killed Rosie Larsen?
Edited on Tue Jun-21-11 06:56 AM by boston bean
Well, I don't fuckin know.

After watching AMC's The Killing for 13 long episodes, going to their website and trying to figure it out for yourself after every episode, who killed rosie, who killed rosie. A new suspect every week, waiting to find out.

Well, I still don't fuckin know! They decided to leave that question unanswered!

What a frickin let down. It was a kick in the teeth to those who watched invested in the show.

I don't know if anyone else on DU watched the show, but the finale really pissed me off!

Are we ever going to frickin know who killed Rosie Larsen?

3. If you like epic fantasy novels....
It is easily the best screen adaptation of
a fantasy novel I've ever seen.

Lots of hack, hack, chop, chop and sexy, sexy though...so NOT for the kiddies.

4. It sucks.
That was a horrible thing for them to do. I loved that show, with the exception of the "missing Jack" episode, and was under the impression we would find out. I still think it's Mitch...but I'm not sure I'll care when it comes back on.

13. I have! "The Killing" was an excellent show, until the last 5 minutes
Edited on Tue Jun-21-11 09:50 AM by ScreamingMeemie
or so. I'm sure I'll get over it but it was a bait and switch. 13 episodes to find out who killed Rosie...and then you don't find out who killed Rosie. Although the acting is stellar. You would like it. Especially Det. Holder.

23. "Bait and switch" So true!
I liked the show but all the red herrings were starting to annoy me. I stuck it out because I love "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" so much, I figured AMC had something brilliant planned for the finale. Nope, just another red herring. grrrr

I hope Holder wasn't involved. I hope he was just so sure that Billy Campbell was guilty that he doctored the photo so they could arrest him. That would make him stupid and corrupt, but redeemable.

6. I didn't like the jack episode either. I think it's gwens father somehow with the billionaire
and gwen was a plant.

But I am pretty sure I won't care either come next season.

I don't think I have ever felt so betrayed by a t.v. show. All year long, "who killed rosie". Then when the season gets renewed, they decide to harangue us in for another season. Real cheesy. The show was better than that I thought.

It made me look back at all the other episodes to find I watched them for nothing, when I thought I was watching to solve a murder mystery.

9. The finale sucked big time!! The show itself...
I thought showed promise. I enjoy a good police procedural and thought The Killing was great until the finale! It did drag in some episodes but I thought the good out-weighed the bad.

I'm so angry at those writers right now, I don't know if I'll cool off enough to watch next season!! :grr:

10. Well, the show must have been pretty DAMN GOOD to piss so many people off!
Sounds like a lot of emotional investment in a TV show,
that means ENGAGEMENT on the part of the audience, I might
have to watch this now!

11. Do yourself a favor and don't! 13 weeks and then...
NOTHING except more questions. I guess if a person likes mental abuse it would be ok to start watching.

Yep, I still want to know who killed Rosie, so I'll probably continue to watch. However, I would not advise anyone who is not already invested to watch it because it is torture!!!! LOL

15. It could have been a great show, but it was never a fun show
Watching every episode felt like punishment, and the fact that after one season it seems like the show is going nowhere was enough for me.

It was originally aired with the promise that we would find out who the killer was in one season, and the contract with the viewers has been broken. I'm done with it.

18. also known as looking the gift horse in the mouth...
It became a runaway favorite, they got heady on it and decided to drag it out. I was really hoping that the skull they found on the waterfront project would end up being a modern skull (not from an indian burial ground) and that would lead into a second season. Also, I thought the other dead boy, from the "Jack Missing" episode could have been a cool second season. Of course, I think too much...and should have realized 50 minutes into the show that we weren't going to find out crap.

Do you think the writers and producers wanted everyone to say how it sucked but was good until the end, so others would tune in next season?

20. Watched it last night.
Loved it. I thought the ending was the perfect cliff hanger. I understand why everyone is so mad, but you know you're going to watch season 2. Who did Holder get in the car with? Does Belko kill the council man? Will Mitch and Stan work it out? I personally cannot wait. And I still think Orpheus is the rich guy wants his stadium built...
