I get Lake Michigan water both at home and at work. Except for a few odd fountains at work that must have some peculiar plumbing, I'll take it over anything I've gotten in a bottle.

1. Not here in North Georgia.
I filter my water with a Pur filter. And everyone else I know does the same or drinks bottled water.

2. I like the taste of our tap water.
I do use bottled water here by the computer, and in the car.

Otherwise, I drink the tap.

4. I like your water...
my water on the other hand tastes bad and comes from a city water department notorious for having issues with old lead water mains.

5. The area of FL that I live in has an embarrassment of riches
when it comes to major springs. The local city water comes from one of them. Great stuff. It's ridiculous that we flush our toilets with it too, but that's what I've got.

6. Our well water is great. City water is not so good
Since they load it up with chemicals. I don't live in the city so I'm not stuck with it. It's not so bad that I won't drink it when I go out to dinner.

7. Our water is very good here.
I only use bottled water at work because I don't want to use the drinking fountains after the kids put their mouths on them. bleah!

9. We have really good water here.
It has extremely low mineral content, and the city usually does a great job of not adding too much disinfectant. The drinking water is one of the few things I love about this place.

10. We have very good tasting water here. Most cities
around here take their water directly from the Ohio river ours comes from wells next to the river.

11. The only tap water I couldn't handle
...was the stuff that ran from the faucets in Corpus Christie, a year after the Ixtoc spill. That shit was oily.

12. You may be
Our water is pretty foul (chemical-y). Plus I can't do fluoride because of my thyroid. We keep meaning to get a reverse osmosis filter, but in the meantime we spend a pretty penny on bottled water. (I know, I know...)

I sure miss our well water from our old house. Now THAT was tasty. :9

14. hmmm. Why do you always do that MFM
It is not about them, yet you try to make it always about something like that.

You do realize that it is not for people to leave others in hardship, to be fishing, why are you so despicable?

You completely turn around how love can help people with images like that.

16. Then show them, why do you always have to show the worst of things.
Edited on Sun May-22-11 11:55 PM by RandomThoughts
seriously, they did do some good things, with better motives. For instance, I agree they did some things to try and help the women of the Arabic world while in office with wars, although I disagree with some of the methods, and some of it is rationalizations for ideas that a few should run all the production and economics and even all society.

But the point is do you realize how offensive that picture is.

Why do you show the worst of pictures, in the worst of contexts. You are making the implication that fisher of men is about leaving people in hardship, or people being in hardship.

Why not show how many help many people, when some hardships happen. Not say things about some groups in floods.

21. Love it here but I refuse to touch it at my s-i-l's house in Newark, DE.
She's got a filter on the tap but the water still smells like a fucking dark room. Our water (Harrisburg, PA area) is odor free and clear. That's true all over the area.

I couldn't stand the water in Reston, VA when I had a condo there - smelled like sweaty gym socks.

23. as long as there are no drowned squirrels involved
sorry, one of those subjects I should only reserve for rural audiences

we have a primitive water system out here consisting of an old concrete storage tank that feeds the house by gravity. sometimes critters get in and have trouble getting back out. You try to keep an eye on things - especially during dry times, but sometimes you don't notice till you catch that faint whiff in the shower or over the washing machine - when the steam tells you something is floating and has been there for more than 12 hours or so:puke:

then it's time to water the yard and toss in a cup of clorox with the refill :P

when I first started brewing beer I had a batch that was done the day before we detected a squirrel. I went on to win a prize at a homebrew event in Bisbee with my "Drowned Squirrel Stout" mmmmmmmm:9 :toast:

24. Colorado Springs
Our water comes straight of the snow pack. We are "first users" which means we get it w/out the overflow of someone else's waste water in it. It the best tap water I've ever had.
