Rolling Stone's Weekend Rock Question: What Is the Best Ballad or Slow Jam of All Time?
I question the wisdom of lumping "slow jams" and "ballads" together because it can really be two completely different art forms, BUT...

...I've got to say that whenever blue teardrops are falling, and my emotional stability is leaving me, there is one thing I can do: I can listen to Marvin sing "Sexual Healing." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdHhxxrH6pU&feature=related

What's YOUR choice?

7. That's in my top 5 Jerry songs...
...Stella Blue, Wharf Rat, Bird Song, Althea (primarily for that Hunter line "Nobody is messing with you, but you"), and his version of Hank Ballard's "Tore Up."

"In the end, there's just a song..."
