Shakira robbed ....... during a concert !!!!

An opportunistic concertgoer snatched singer Shakiras ring from her finger during a concert last week.

The 34-year-old singer was shaking hands with revellers as she performed in Monterrey, Mexico when her ring was taken.

Although Shakira noticed the robbery which was caught on camera she continued performing and did not confront the thief.

No arrests have been made. The concert at the University of Monterrey was her final show in the country. ..........(more)

6. Talk about a tough crowd.

On edit: I recall a rolling Stone article that chronicled how drug syndicates "owned" many pop stars in Mexico. The big amounts of cash they have laying around allows them to "invest" in talent as a sort of status symbol. Depending on the politics of her particular situation, she was either wise to let it go or it will be otherwise taken care of and she'll get it back.

I certainly don't know that Shakira is the current property of any drug cartel, but as I understand it she may have received a leg up early in her career. The organizations are very influential in matters of booking gigs at hot venues to obtain exposure. Much like pimps, they pay the performer a minority percentage of the take, and her successs may place her well beyond that by now.

It still takes a lot of nerve to chance stealing from a pop diva in Mexico these days. Lay low amigo.

9. Now that's a class act - Shakira, not the thief
Kept going with the concert and not letting the thief rob the audience of their show
