Although some dogs can be sneaky. I remember once my mom's dog followed my mom into the bathroom while she showered, even sticking his head into the shower. While she was scrubbing he slipped out, ate the dinner on the counter and was back in the bathroom before she was done.

He did get caught stealing my mom's glass of wine while she stoked the fire once. His white muzzle didn't really hide the merlot that well.
