"The Last Waltz" is playing on my iTunes
Great album - but I've never seen the movie

I have played this album over and over again, kind of a 'Woodstock that doesn't suck" thing

2. Clapton gets into a fistfight with Neil Diamond and Robbie Robertson tries to break it up
Clapton loses it and starts yelling "Why don't you sing 'Cherry Cherry,' you bloody WANKER" across the stage. Diamond yells bac "YOU WANT SOME OF THIS?"

Robbie gets in between them but when Clapton takes his first swing, BAM...it lands on Robbie's temple and down he goes.

Ronnie Wood and Ringo then rush in and restrain Clapton while Diamond is escorted off stage.

It was one of the highlights of the film...here's the clip from YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

5. Neil Diamond is a lot cooler than most people suspect.

I've never heard any of his back up guys do anything but rave about how nice he is. :)

4. That's my favorite show of all time.

Just watching Joni Mitchell trying to figure out how to get Neil Young's hand off of her remote is worth it. Plus, that was the first time Van Morrison had been on stage after a meltdown. And, The Band ruled and rules still. :headbang:
