Heidi brings home the coolest gifts:
My new spectacles, since I need new glasses anyway. I think they look hipster enough for me:

Also, say something that cheers up Heidi. Her wallet was stolen out of her purse in the mall today. But she still managed to bring me this gift. :*

2. My dear Call Me Wesley!
Uh...

Uh, yeah! Those are very uh.......hip, that's it, hip!:scared:

And seriously, please tell her how sorry I am about her wallet. I can only imagine the hassle of replacing stuff (credit cards, driver's license etc) plus the feeling of being invaded.

Hugs to her for all that and STILL bringing you this cool gift...

4. Thank you!
Yes, spending an afternoon on the phone to get everything canceled and blocked is fun. And then they blocked my card instead of hers. Ugh.

The police doesn't even know yet. They close their office at 12 a. m. Here, we only have brutal justice from 9 a. m. to 11 a. m. And then they have races or something ...

18. I was looking at many,
especially round retro glasses, but they don't really go well with my face. And then, one night, I was watching this DS9 episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avd8k9yQYSI&feature=player_detailpage#t=128s and there they were.

First I opted for the red frame, but Heidi thought the white ones were even better, and they are. :)

14. Having quietly observed posts from you and
the lady in your life for a while now, I have to say that you two really do what I'll call neo-retro well.

Love the stapler, btw.

17. Thank you!
Love the term 'neo-retro.' We live in a healthy mixture of high-tech and 1926's typewriters. :) It suits us. Especially, if the manual typewriters are displayed on a multi-colored LED-driven plexiglass shelf: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx5dKMlFgsQ

The stapler is really neat. I have a few items from them: http://www.thepenplace.com.au/desk-accessories-el-casco-c-50.html But don't look at the price. Heidi got it on sale in a friendly office store for $40.

19. Is that your youtube vid?
Re your link to the Aussie purveyor - there are a couple of places like that in the states as well. But you can also find that sort of product around in smaller shops in larger cities, at better prices, if you look. Which I do, when I am in those places, and have the time.

Here's the thing - I don't have the "eye", the one you two obviously do have, to pull it all together into a coherent whole - for that I need help. Sadly, my talents lie elsewhere.

20. Yes, it's my video.
The stapler was really a lucky buy.

I think the "eye" comes with practice. There's one typewriter displayed there, the model, that was my first. Of course, 30 years ago, I trashed it. Then I found it on the Swiss equivalent on eBay.

23. OMG! I am so sorry to hear about her wallet!
I hate...no, I don't hate, gotta stop the hate...don't understand people who steal from someone else, especially someone so sweet and lovely. I hope she didn't lose too much cash and that everything else resolves it self without any identity theft issues. to me dear girlfriend. Will you please personally deliver a real one to her from me?

Cool specs, tho. She is awesome. You both are.
