Things that (thankfully) do not seem to change.
Edited on Sun Feb-20-11 03:47 PM by Gold Metal Flake
OK, maybe it's a silly thread, but I just had Pizza Rolls for lunch. Never mind what sort of evil industrial waste is used to form those little pillows of joy, I just like them every once in a while. But they seem to be very much the same as they did in the 1970's.

Something else that has not changed from my childhood in the 1970's is the Jack In The Box taco.

I don't know what the hell is going on in there but I love them. :9

This is not a specifically a food thread, just a things that you like that have not changed thread (including food). Go!

Edit: I was short one "k"

1. I fricking LOVE Jack in the Crack tacos, always have.
Never had the pizza rolls but used to love the little mini egg rolls that were made the same way.

man, hard to think of much that hasn't changed! Even Ed at the feed store is taking plastic now. This is a guy who wouldn't even change his old dial phone until the store burned down a couple years ago. Now he's got a nice steel building and he is taking plastic.

2. I suspect that it's easier to set up plastic-taking these days.
Last time I worked retail was when we had to use the printed booklet of bad card numbers and check each credit card against it. No modems.

Another thing that is the same is real sugar Coke. We get them from Costco, bottled in Mexico using cane sugar.
