"Thank you so much........ for loving my dad"
Good vid of the Frank Zappa statue dedication in Baltimore this past summer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC2X8DyM0vc&feature=related

I've been loving Diva's dad since the October 17, 1971 Zappa/Mothers late show at Stony Brook University on Long Island. Long Island is Zappa country.

Diva is at about 2:00 in the clip.

1. Thank you for posting this.
I'd never seen it, and that's the first time I've ever seen Diva. I'm familiar with all of Frank's other kids, and I've always been curious about Diva.

Thank you for responding. I probably sabotaged the promotion of this post by the vague title. probably more traffic if i had the name "zappa" in it.

I was just cruising youtube and stumbled across a lot of contemporary zappa stuff including the statue in baltimore "Whats new in Baltimore" is as moving to me as Watermelon in Easter Hay. Zappa at his beautiful and inspiring and moving best.

Zappa had some covenant in his estate that no one is to perform watermelon in easter hay, for some reason. perhaps he considered it some of his most personal work? I always always get choked up on the zappa guitar parts of that song. same with wnib.

Diva, yes indeed, she's the most private of the Zappa kids. Seems like a genuine person and boy does she have a knitting obsession. knitting to her is kinda like what music was to frank. could never get enough work on it. loved it so much every day working on music was like every day is christmas to Frank. This vid is the most i have ever seen of Diva in my life.

There is also an 11 part! zappa family Q&A in London from this past July with Gail, dweezil, the vaultmeister joe travers, jeff simmons! and scott thunes. I always liked scott as a fan. so much of zappa's 88 touring band had so much potential for so much more had zappa lived. it's a shame that group dissolved.

Thanks for your response.
