I really want to see Fair Game & I just checked again but it's not playing at any theaters anywhere near me.

2. On average
...about 6 months after theatrical release, depending on the box office popularity of the film. The longer it plays in theaters, the longer it takes to get it to DVD.

3. Some movies never seem to make it.
I've been waiting for The Amateur (1981) for years and years and it hasn't come out on DVD yet.

You can get it places other than Amazon as well. :)

Thanks for pointing that out to me. :)

I loves me a good movie where an exploited civilian gets even with the CIA.

7. The one I'm waiting for is "Mediterraneo".
This laugh-out-loud 1991 comedy about Italian soldiers stranded on a Greek island during WWII won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. And yet I've never seen it on DVD.

9. Apparently it is out in Italy in Blu-Ray
http://forum.blu-ray.com/italy/125691-mediterraneo-gabr...

And this site has links to downloads of the film, but I have no idea if the site or the links are reliable or legitimate.

10. Thanks.
That might bode well for an eventual USA release.

6. The DVD rights are sold
while the movie's still in post-production. It gives some cash flow to the producer, and a chance for a good return for those who "invest" in the movie's prospects.
