How do I *really* clear out my firefox browser history?

I've done the so-called "Clear history" function a bunch of times in a variety of ways, but none of them actually ever deleted anything in the history.

I've also restarted Fire fox a number of times just to be sure that isn't a function of the thigns get deleted after I close it down.

Seriously, why isn't this working? Pain in the ass.

4. Not really trying to hide anything, but it gets annoying when I'm typing in a URL

and shitloads of options and "autospell URL completion" keeps popping up.

3. husband tells me Firefox is a "memory hog" - doubt that has anything

to do with your question, though. I would also like the answer to this question. My husband usually says play around with the toolbar and you will figure it out before too long! :rofl:

5. tools>options>privacy>uncheck "remember search and form history" ?
