I'm kind of emotionally drained from dealing with two homeless teenagers in as many days. Hopefully my boss was able to refer them to the kind of help they need. I hope they get the help.

you know, though a library is supposed to be a resource for the public so maybe you or your boss or a group? could put together a list of the kinds of help that might be available to kids (or adults) in that situation. many communities have some kind of information and referral services - might be a good starting place, housing, counseling, food possibilities etc.

I don't know - make it into a handout or something to put on a table or bulletin board?

resources to help librarians cope with folks with mental health and other issues - she's says it's a common thing library staff have to address and they have no training in it, to speak of...
