Poll question: Let’s Play A Cassandra Game?
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 08:50 PM by The Lone Liberal
Cassandra a mortal woman who was loved by the god Apollo. Apollo in his pursuit of Cassandra taught her the art of prophecy. Cassandra eventually possessed the power to foretell the future. Then she spurned Apollo, who caused her gift of prophecy to be twisted making everyone who heard her true and accurate prophecies to believe they were hearing lies. The story goes that over time she prophesized many calamitous events, but no one believed her.

The Cassandra Game.

Four more years of George W. Bush and a Republican controlled Legislature will be a disaster for democracy as we believe it to be. Couple the drive to disenfranchise the great mass of American people and to institute an oligarchy with the countries vulnerability to economic forces outside the boarders you have the makings of something we and possible the world has never experienced.

The outcome could be the birth of a government more oppressive than regime in history.

Now to the game. What do you do when this comes abot?

2. Bush will push for: no social security, no medical care, no good jobs,
no freedom of speech, no two party system, no middle class,
no civil rights, no unions, no abortion rights, no limits on pollution.....
If Bush gets in, you know something
is fucked up and Jeb will be serving the next eight years.
It will be time to leave.

4. When I was a child,
I spoke as a child.
Now I'm a grown woman,
But my thoughts are still wild.

LOL. Good night.
