I'm being lazy. Combing my hair, putting on work clothes and I'm going out as a hunky nerd.

2. Wow! You're hardcore!
You actually own a prop-quality Vader costume? That kicks ass.

I usually go as a Catholic priest because I own a Roman collar shirt still from when I was in the seminary but it's like a tent on me now. It's an awesome costume if you're single because people keep "confessing" to you and saying really naughty things.

3. I was a robot this year.

Didn't finish all the pieces I wanted to (i.e. on the legs and the upper arms) but it turned out pretty well. I certainly stand out in a crowd being about 6'5'' with the helmet on.

Instead I'm going as "that dorky kid everyone sees around town all the time." (Or more succinctly, as myself, haha.)

6. I'm a BLT sandwich. It's coming out really good. I just have to attach the tomatoes
and bacon to the bread.

7. I'm being invisible this year.
Sitting inside with no lights showing.

I usually love Halloween, but for the past several years, I get all this candy and then like half a dozen kids show up and I have all that damn leftover candy- which I can't have in the house.

Son's going ToT with his friends (and he's at his dad's this weekend) - - and then giving nearly all of the candy to his friends. He just loves dressing up, though!

9. I haven't thought of one until now
My oldest son is going as HAL9000 and my younger son is going as Doctor Who.
I think I'll wear a black dress and put on a name tag that says, "not a witch."

10. oh, that's cool! My son is 14 now and has no interest in dressing up anymore

boo. I didn't get around to it this year, too busy canvassing and phone-banking to avoid the scary prospect of a Republican House and Senate! :(

20. I went canvassing in costume!
For my dem mayoral candidate and city council member with my 16 year old.
It was so awesome, he talked with people in the precinct and absolutely loved it.

Halloween is our favorite holiday, so dressing up is mandatory.
lucky for us, all the neighborhood teenagers dress up.

12. I dressed up to host my son's Halloween/7th birthday party yesterday
Black witch dress (and red and white striped knee socks!)--not a big deal...except that I haven't been able to fit into it in about 10 years. This year, though, I could--with room to spare. Happy dance. :bounce:

I will try to post it in this thread as well.
