Today's College Football Tailgate Thread
There are only two games between ranked teams today, but the two top-ranked BCS teams in the BCS also have tough matches on the road:

#5 Michigan State at #18 Iowa
#6 Missouri at #14 Nebraska
#2 Oregon at USC
#1 Auburn at Ole Miss

So who is your team playing today? What games are you looking forward to?

3. georgia seems to be getting better as the year goes on
My Georgia-fan friends were pretty depressed back in early October, but the team has been coming on the last few weeks.

Florida's fortunes will turn too, at some point--if not this week, they've got Vanderbilt next week at least :hi: ...

2. The second game mentioned
Man, I hope Missouri can get out of Lincoln--likely for the last time in a long while--with a final win.

7. HUSKERS!!!
24-0, beginning of the 2nd quarter. We're firing on all cylinders, which is most unfortunate for Missouri. :D

10. It's fabulous to see
Husker fans all know we've got a great team, we just haven't had many opportunities to see everyone play well at the same time.

Even if the pace slows a bit (and really, that first quarter play isn't sustainable), we're doing just fine.

13. nt
:(

A horrible game for the Tigers. Just horrible. I can only hope that we can get it back together for Tech and Kansas State in the upcoming weeks and then beat Kansas.

12. The Wildcats continue their march to the playoffs
38-0 over Menlo. Take their last two games, and it's off to the national championship playoff, where real college football championships are decided.

17. The personal fouls Oregon is getting are pissing me off.
No, I don't think they're bad calls by the refs; it's bad actions by the Ducks. Come on, guys, you're good enough that you don't have to do that!

21. USC doesn't drive so well when they have to go more than 21 yards
And their defense is looking a smidgen tired. The offense better stay on the field as long as they can.

Now LaMichael James rushes for 45 yards to the USC 22 for a 1ST down. 3:27 left.

Whew....

23. Well, the conclusion is obvious
USC wasn't as good as it was supposed to be. Another team comes down with a case of Ducks-itis just in time to make Oregon's whomping of them look like no big deal. Watch for Oregon to chunk down to No. 3 in the BCS for only beating the Trojans in Los Angeles.

26. USC at least held Oregon below their season scoring average
So the Ducks will fall to No. 4 in the BCS.

28. Holy smokes, I was wrong!
Although looking through the BCS standings, one of the computer rankings (the Colley Matrix, whatever the hell that is) has Oregon ranked 7th, behind Oklahoma, Nebraska and Missouri. Colley apparently places a very high premium on membership in the Big 12.

To err is human, but to really fuck things up, you need a computer.
