My 17y.o. kid just walked through the den wearing a diaper looking for his "binkie".

I knew he was putting together a costume for a party tonight, but holy-shit that was disturbing. Pretty gutsy move for our 17y.o. man-cub.

1. I wish I could loan him our blanket pins
they'd look proportional with a big cloth diaper... or did he go modern and wear Depends®?

2. He went depends..
OMG, I could not speak until after he wondered out still looking for his binkie.. I don't think I had his guts when I was in high school.

3. One Fasching (costume season) in Germany, my buddy and I wore nothing butt big diapers...

...and combat boots (actually, he was from Oklahoma and wore his cowboy
boots) -- and my ex fixed our hair into li'l baby topknots. We had giant
binkies from the bierfest and baby bottles hung around our necks (filled
with Jagermeister to ward off the cold -- somewhere around freezing).
.
Every bar (gasthaus) had Fasching parties on different nights (it ran from
November 11 until Ash Wednesday - like Mardi Gras). Our regular (Greek)
hangout was having theirs this night. After about an hour, we were in the
mood for Italian food... and we left our gasthaus to go down the block to
have dinner at a fine Italian restaurant... oblivious to the fact that we
were about to walk into a NON-Fasching party restaurant in diapers (we
were kinda just plain oblivious by that point).
.
.
The maitre'd didn't blink an eye, but seated us as if we were dressed in
formal evening wear.

I fucking LOVED Germany!!!!!!
