However, the website reported Sunday that the incident may have been sparked by a homophobic verbal attack against Bieber.

Quoting sources, TMZ says one kid targeted Bieber repeatedly during the laser tag game, cornered him and wouldn’t stop shooting.

When Bieber told the boy, “That’s enough,” he allegedly responded, “What are you gonna do about it, faggot?”

The sources told TMZ the boy repeated the slur then put his hand out toward Bieber, and Bieber pushed it away as he left.

Bieber never struck the boy, TMZ says.
