1. Because that would violate the prime directive of White Castle
1.) There shall be, under no circumstance, any nutritional value within our sliders.

2.) See rule #1

But oh, the yumminess... wish we had one close to here.

5. There are a ton of no-oil, DELICIOUS veggie burgers you can make at home...
...in about as much time as it would take to go to White Castle and back.

Besides, if you're stoned you shouldn't be driving anyway. :P

16. Actually, there are a few studies showing people drive better stoned.
They manage to obey more traffic controls and drive below the speed limit. They're more patient and courteous too. Maybe not-stoned people shouldn't be allowed to drive. :smoke::P

18. What's really scary is all these people on LEGAL medications...
...whose synapses are fried to Hell and back.

And I don't just mean the stuff for depression. Seems like almost every class of drugs has some kind of side effect on the brain, no matter how subtle.

There's no way to control that. :(

10. Why are sliders such a big deal these days?
Seems like every restaurant has sliders. I've never had one, but my boyfriend goes nuts over them. They just look like tiny versions of a burger in a bun.

14. Because "green death" is already taken - pickles.
You get red death, yellow death and green death on Little Tavern death burgers - same basic thing as White Castle death burgers.

19. Because that violates the whole "slider" ethos.
Their sliders aren't really meat anyway, so a vegan could eat them.

They're soylent green.

28. Then you have no say so. Go eat your vegetables.
All kidding aside, I don't know how anyone can be vegan. My girls are vegetarians and that is hard enough, couldn't imagine trying to cook for them without cheese.

I do love white castles though. We have to buy a case (100 of them) when we do get them. I have two teenage boys that love them too. We only go there maybe twice a year so we eat them for a couple of days.

22. Why do the grazers want their food to look like meat.
You don't see the meat eaters do up their steaks to look like broccoli.

30. Because many meat-things come in "convenient shapes"
like hot dogs and burgers. And then there are the buns that go with them. Might as well make the veggie items in the same shapes ;)

Think, too, about "finger food" and the memory of eating the "real" meat items. Should veggie-items go for some unique shape and we former meat-eaters must just "get used to it"? Marketing will say that you go with the familiar every time.
