I ate octopus at the local sushi bar this afternoon.
First time I went to a real sushi joint, REALLY good stuff! had octopus nigiri-sushi, a tuna roll, and a California roll, with Miso soup as the appetizer.. DELICIOUS!

4. Used to watch octopus fishermen at work...
at Haunama Bay(near Koko Head on Oahu)... at low tide, they would walk out in about two feet of water over the top of the coral probing the nooks and crannies with a straightened clotheshanger. When they would locate a small octopus, they would reach down into the water and catch it with their hands.

Next step was to bite it between the eyes and turn it inside out. It was then stuffed inside a pouch(had a flap with tentacles hanging down the side). The victims(octopi)were all in the 8-12" diameter size.

Always late afternoon to early evening.

6. If forced to eat a single cuisine for the rest of my life - it would be sushi-sashimi-maki

I love it all (except for natto).
