The rain is coming in sideways at times. Our 77 lb border collie is afraid to go out for a leak. Normally she just cowers in the downstairs bathroom for thunder, but the sound of the rain is freaking her out. The sheltie is just crashed half-way up the stairs, not at all concerned. And the three cats are, well, doing what cats do - napping. I haven't checked on the rabbit yet, but he really doesn't get bent out of shape by anything.

Numerous flood warnings. We already have had 2 or 3 inches. May get several more. A coworker who commutes here from N. Virginia (normally about an 1-1/2 with traffic) says it took FOUR hours to get in this morning because of the heavy rains

4. Hasn't rained all day in NE Philadelphia.

At my house, on the other hand...this morning at 6:30 they said the airport near me had received 2.6" of rain in the last 12 hours. A former coworker of mine in Chester County said the power is out where she teaches.

5. I love having all the animals tucked inside safe when the the weather's bad.

Here in NW Phila we've had some rain which we really need and a bit of wind. The bummer is that it's hot and muggy. I guess that's what they mean by "tropical storm."

7. Sasme here, near Reading, PA - the dog went on to the side porch this AM,

looked around, came back in the house. Finally went out to do his business after the rain slacked a bit several hours later.

We had almost zero rain for months, now have 6 + inches in one day...Pennsylvania weather.....
