That is said many times, however it is also used by those that think anything with power is God.

There are many things with power, that are not God, nor should be thought of that way, yet they try to make those claims. Those things should be fought against, because they are not God.

However their supporters see that as fighting god, when it is actually not, instead it is being mislead by false things.

But there is a bigger issue, if God was bad, then you should fight him by not going along with that thing, because something bad would not like something that was not bad back to that bad.

And if God is good then it is best to act in what you can see as better ways, which is also opposing things that are bad.

So either way, trying to act and think in better ways makes sense.
