Go, Callie, go! What a beautiful kitty -- she seems fairly happy and healthly for all she has gone through. She needs those bionic kitteh legs we've seen here:

Today a beautiful black family cat named Zeek is in the hospital, destiny unknown until some more tests come back.

He was found this afternoon writhing in extreme pain, unable to stand. Rushed to the vet. A horrible fracture near the shoulder, but.....may be due to bone weakness due to cancer or infection.

Prognosis: if it's cancer, he will be put down. If it's an infectious process, he may be treated with amputation/antibiotics and be a three-legged cat.

Zeek is five years old. He's gorgeous, sleek, extremely sweet and loving. The picture of health. If I had a pic, I would post it, but you can see it in your mind, I'm sure.

We're hoping for the best.

for Zeke! Kittehs are tough as nails and quickly learn to live with any disabilities they are presented with. This is a very scary time for you -- hang tough and I hope this is something treatable.

4. There is really somethijg about calicos --

that is extra special. I don't know exactly what it is but, for me, they are so very feminine. I am surrounded by boy kittehs but really girlie kitties are so sweet.

5. I think of calicos as the feminists of the cat world

since all but 1 in 1000 of them are female, and they are renowned for their hunting skills (this is why there are so many in Hawai'i; many calicos served as ship's mousers).

edit: Wait a minute. That means I'm almost in range for a cat fix, even if they are males.

I've got seven! And two bunnies. I think you could get MORE than just a "fix" -- kitteh OD is more like it. God knows I get one every night when they all try to sleep with me and they all try to pick the same prime real estate on my pillow.
