On a clear night - beautiful pic

On a clear night in Hendricks, Minn., one can see the Milky Way above the wind generators near Lake Benton.

If you can't see it, think about the Earth "spinning" around the galaxy center along with the millions of foreground stars.

10. There is nothing so beautiful as viewing the Milky Way.
It's humbling and inspiring at the same time.

I hope it's a clear sky for the meteor shower in a couple of days from
now because I have a perfect place to watch it. Southern Vermont.

I've spent many hours in the high desert in AZ and UT just watching the cosmos.
Nothing I like better than that. It's as hypnotic as fire, and why shouldn't it be,
from there you watch fire on a cosmic scale.

Thanks for posting that pic.

12. I hate living in Connecticut.
The light pollution and the humidity rob me of seeing these kinds of things.

I hate this state.

18. Wow!
I haven't seen the Milky Way like that since I lived in Chile. I always thought a view like that was only visible in the Southern hemisphere. Thank you for reminding me of lovely childhood memories.

19. I drove through there at night last week
The wind generators themselves are something to behold. There must be a hundred of them and those red lights on top of them flash at the same time. That alone is pretty awesome. Next time I roll through there at night I'll stop and see if I can see the galaxy.
