When was the last time you ate dog or cat food?
While the pet food commercials may lead one to believe that their brand of is very meaty tasting, I found it to be quite bland.

it was the crappiest thing she had EVER brought back from the
grocery store (he was something of a jerk).

2. We had "tea parties" with dog kibble when I was young....
Very young, but it tasted pretty good to me. If I were starving, I would eat the dry food before I would touch the canned stuff.

11. I read this as something totally different
the evil in me wants to show up at a modern day tea party with dog kibble and tell them that we're product testers and want opinions on this new "snack."

We did this when I was younger to my sister's friend. We told her a Bonkers (cat treat) was a new kind of candy. She said it tasted fishy.

4. I tasted fish food once
I was about 6 or so, don't know exactly why. Curious, probably, and saw that the fish in the aquarium liked it. As I recall, it wasn't bad.

Later, I read the ingredients, and my brother helpfully informed that it contained bug eggs and all manner of icky stuff.

I was still proud of eating it. And, as I say, it didn't taste half bad.

14. Actually, it depends on the brand
Personally, I like Friskies--the same brand I feed my cats! :silly:

A couple of months ago, I was so hungry and out of food (and money) I was forced to eat my cat's Friskies Feline Favorites. Cat food was the only food I had.

9. not in 40+ years
but I remember the flavor - kind of a stale corn, crunchy, cereal but not sweet - edible but not all that appealing.

15. The chicken strips I give my dogs are delicious 100% chicken
Edited on Sun Jul-11-10 03:39 PM by lunatica
Better than jerky. They have glucosamine and are called Happy Hips. Both dogs act as if they're much younger than they are. The toy poodle is close to 15 years old and still jumps off the back of the sofa onto the floor. The rescue is about 10 years old and is still a great athletic dog who catches frizzbees in mid air.
