The two wars, the economy, and the oil spill remain the clusterfucks that they were yesterday. And the day before. And the day before that...


It doesn't really make too much sense for papers and magazine covers to just feature a collage of disaster photos with the caption "WE SUCK!" every single day. We already know we suck.

As far as the dumb celebrity stories go, they're a way for our sad, helpless citizenry to forget how screwed up their lives are and focus on the screw ups of the rich and famous. Then they return to their zombie-esque life in a cubicle farm. If they're lucky enough to have a job.
