You know who Lindsay Lohan is - she's Neely O'Hara
She's been brought up in acting since she was kid and really has no other way of life and no real family that actually wants to see Lindsay stay clean and be productive. I'm guessing what family she does has just used her for her money and connections.

Like Neely, Lindsay was multi-talented who could actually both act and sing. I mean sure, "I know who killed me" was the suckiest of suck movies but her early stuff like "Mean Girls" showed that she had the skills to act and from what I've ready she can sing too.

Probably is, these young actors like Lindsay and like Neely O'Hare (one of the leads in Jaquelinn Susann's "Valley of the Dolls") have so much happen so quickly that they literally self-destruct in front of our eyes. And although today's Hollywood stars aren't wacked out on 'Dolls' (the nickname for uppers and downers) there's a whole new world of drugs being offered to Ms. Lohan. I'm sure it was cute when folks starting offering an underage Lindsay 'harmless' things like Cigarettes, Booze and Pot. But the problem is, this girl has no sense of discipline from lack of good parents - for her if she can start on cigarettes and booze at a young age with no consequences, if the clubs are happy to let an underage girl hang out with all the 21+ aged crowd then it's real easy for her to end up with real addictions like Cocaine or Opiate products.

Jail is probably the best thing for Lindsay, unfortunately it doesn't seem like she has an 'Anne Welles' friend out there that can help her get into rehab. Alot of people are betting against Lindsay and saying it's alot harder for women and especially former young actresses to battle back from these problems - but just remember that 20 years ago Drew Barrymore was in the same position and managed to not only come out alive but be one of the best actresses in Hollywood.
Let's hope there is more Drew in Lindsay than Neely O'Hara.

1. so Oscar Wilde was right: Life does imitate art
...or at least it imitates potboiler fiction from the 60s!

2. You are correct....
I am so proud of Drew. She has been used as an example in our home a few times.

I have nothing against Lindsay. So I say good luck
Lindsay and there are people rooting for you out among the millions.
