glowing across
the room I saw
salt rimmed
glass
in her
hand

full
browned softness

gathered across her
breasts showing
her life
freely given

hands float above the
glass
the sunset glows
inside
the salt rim

he watches her give

the
promise
freely

Read it earlier today, but wanted to let the recollection gel a little. I've come to understand fluidity in color is something of a poker tell with your poetry. There is a sad note of promise wronged, a sense of misplaced intimacy and it makes me wonder if this represents man's broken promise to Mother Earth.
