Pictures from my Iran trip, part 2 *PIC HEAVY*
Edited on Wed May-19-10 03:36 AM by MissHoneychurch
While traveling the Iran, we were mostly in the west and south west. The most south we were was in Shiraz. Most of the landscape we drove through was mountains, mountains and even more mountains. And every now and then a high plateau. I was impressed by this rough and sparse landscape. Most times the colors were brown and gray and where there was water it was green.

What I post now are just impressions from our trip.

And then next to Yazd there was the desert. My camera had some problems to focus while passing it, so I don't have only this one picture.

the reason for your trip?

Interesting. I know many Iranians with kin there. They don't hate the US like we're led to believe. So many were educated in the US and England.

4. I was there for vacation
2 weeks with my family.

No, they don't hate the U.S. They were happy to speak English with us and ask us questions. Very open, very friendly.

7. Go ahead and send the link
I will post more pictures over the next days. I started yesterday. I also added the threads to my journal. *end of self advertising*

It was a great time. Maybe by posting the pictures of the trip I can show another picture of the Iran.

10. Well
one part is mountain, the other desert, so your conception wasn't all wrong.

16. When you look at the first picture
on the right sight you see a path and steps. We went up that "hill" as on top of it was Alamut http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alamut

But that was the only mountain we went up on by foot.

It doesn't look bad here but it was quite a steep hike
