My viral load is borderline un-detectable
and that was with a couple of years of drinking and missing doses of meds. here and there. Whew! I am lucky!

I quit drinking and I now take my meds everyday, first thing in the morning.

My next labs will probably be mid to late summer and I am looking forward to more good news!

Keep your fingers crossed!

1. My dear Roon!
Wow, what wonderful news!

I can bet you're just overjoyed, sweetie!

I am, for you...

I'd cross my fingers, but that does make typing rather difficult...;)

Congrats!

2. Thanks Peggy!
It's been ten days since I had a drink. It was either the booze or my buddy Jason. I picked Jason. :-)

The withdrawal was terrible. I spent days shaking, even now I have a touch of the shakes, but they say that it can take up to a month for it to totally go away.

Anyway, I didn't mean to turn this into an AA thread, I just feel so good that NOT being drunk is a high!

10. You bet...my ex was so evil..
he used to make me keep my meds put away instead of out on the dresser,it just helps seeing them and remembering to take them.

28. because it would embarrass him
just like my hornrimmed glasses and my behind the ear hearing aid...he wouldn't have any of it because it would be embarrassing to be seen with me in public.

He's a sociopath...now you know a big reason he's my X..

5. Best of Luck with your lab tests
and if you have any new urge to drink, keep the memory of the withdrawal with you.

11. It was terrible, chrystal
Lukily I had some Xanax to keep me calm while I was drying out, it was still very uncomfortable, but at least I was able to sleep.

18. I believe you. Thank God you made it through
and you were smart to use the Xanax to help you... That's what many rehab places use to mitigate physical symptoms of withdrawal. But even with Xanax, it's no piece of cake as you know...Always remember that if tempted.

Just keep it up and you will eventually experiance the joy of living that sobriety brings. It may take awhile, but you will eventually learn to be happy living w/out alcohol.

And again, best of luck with your lab tests.
