A beacon of bravery in repukeland
The county seat where I live votes overwhelmingly republican. As I was driving on my way out of the town, I passed a sign-making business that is operated out of someone's home. This business has a large sign close to the road that usually has some sort of cute quip or attention getting slogan on it. Today, much to my surprise, this sign bore, in large letters, the words "WAR IS TERRORISM". I call this bravery because I can't see how this will not result in a loss of business. Every once in a while you see something like this that surprises you & gives you hope.

3. Get the name of the store, call them and tell them you support
their position. Even one show of support amidst all the hate mail and threatening phone calls they're going to get may help them stick by their guns. God Bless 'Em, I say.

7. An answering machine is even better. they have a recording of someone
wishing them well and supporting them. It will be good for them to replay it when the hate mail comes.

Thank you for calling them, AnnabelLee. :-)

4. The huge right-wing billboard between Seattle and Portland
has two messages now: one about Governor Locke and one about Centralia.

NOTHING..ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...ABOUT GEORGE BUSH OR HIS GLORIOUS WAR.

8. But at least now it's got minor stuff like "Centralia is polluting."
That's their latest message. And also that Governor Locke is costing jobs, which is insane if you follow what Gov. Locke actually does.

I can't wait to see what they put up when Bush and Cheney are impeached.

9. You mean you can't guess? The billboard will read:
"Hey looky there! Is that a terrorist?"
