CNN - Gun control advocates in arms over new Fox "reality" show, "Sarah Palin: Lock And Load"

CNN Los Angeles - Gun control advocates have been flooding the Fox switchboards with protests over the upcoming reality show, "Sarah Palin: Lock And Load." In the show, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin "just shoots things, on land, sea, and air," according to a recently aired network promo. In one scene, Palin is shown on a commercial fishing boat, after emptying several semi-automatic weapon rounds into a yellowfin tuna, yelling "SORRY, CHARLIE! Oh, you BETCHA!"

PETA has also rallied against the show, stating in an April 16th press release "This show only furthers the cause of needless violence against helpless animals."

President of Fox News Channel and chairman of the Fox Television Stations Group told CNN reporters that the show is "just good, clean, innocent fun. It's not as if she has Democrats in the crosshairs."

Sarah Palin did not return phone requests for an interview with CNN. "Sarah Palin: Lock And Load" premieres May 15th on the Fox News Channel.
