We accidentally extradited our squirrel

My wife was waiting in her car at the elementary school the other day when she called me telling me she was hearing some sort of animal scampering around the engine. Now, the yard squirrel has been crawling up into the engine bay of my car to munch on acorns while wrapping him/herself in the hood insulation, so I figured that's what it was. When my wife later returned to the car the noises were gone.

We haven't seen the squirrel since. It's either taken up residence at the school or it became hawk, fox, or coyote (seen all three around here) food.
