For BONES Fans - A Pre-Emptive Spoiler Thread
I just watched tonight's episode. It was kind of a big deal. That's all I'm going to say for now. ;)

2. I'm conflicted.
I liked it and I understand why they did it. (Moonlighting syndrome)

But I felt so bad for Booth and Bones. :-(

I've been a huge fan of the show since the pilot.

3. I don't think that's the end of it
The show got picked up for a sixth season, which I'm guessing might be the last. My theory is that Booth will start seeing other women and will probably get engaged to some lady and that will cause conflict that lasts through the rest of this season and well into the next, resulting in a series finale where the two finally declare mutual love.

They've added a new romantic music score to the show and I think it's on purpose.

8. The show creator
...has stated that it was a creative decision for the betterment of the storyline and that he felt quite bad about requiring that the character leave.

Personally I felt the revelation of Zack's apprenticeship under the Gorgamon to be a twist, tacked-on for the sake of shock value.

10. they had a strike-shortened
season that year... it should have been explained better, but wasn't due to them not having enough episodes. they should revisit that, even if just in flashback. would be entertaining one of the rotating interns asks about zack, and boom... we launch into flashback.

7. If Booth and Bones get together that brings the series to the same place as Northern Exposure
when Joel and Maggie got together. If it happens they should leave it for the series final episode. Now that would be a nice ending.

Currently I am watching one episode after another of Bones on Netflix streaming. I'm into season 2 now.

9. how much does it follow the storyline of Kathy Reichs' books?
Isn't Bones adapted from her novels?

The lead isn't anything close to what I imagined Tempe to be, but perhaps the TV show is just very loosely adapted. I have never seen Bones, actually, but I enjoy Reichs' books.

11. I have no idea
I have not read Ms. Reichs' books.

I enjoy Bones because it's a fun show with likable characters. The character of Temperance is clinical and somewhat socially inept. I love the actress that portrays her, Emily Deschanel. Naturally, the Booth character is her personality opposite, emotional and prone to hunches. Boreanaz is charming as always. The supporting cast is delightful and the show contains a nice mix of humor and drama without being entirely predictable.
