Hey Indianapolis residents! I'm coming to say hi this weekend!
I'll be in town for the NCAA semifinals on Saturday. My hotel (a roach motel and the only one I could find that wouldn't break the bank) is about 7 miles east of Lucas Oil Stadium. So we are planning on driving to downtown Indy and then walk to the stadium for team practice, the fan experience and all events on Saturday prior to the games.

Is there ample parking in downtown Indy that won't cost an arm and a leg??? We are not planning on parking right in the stadium, as we know we'll be skinned alive there, considering we already spent a lot for nose bleed seat tickets.

We're also driving about 10 hours each way, arriving late Friday night and leaving Sunday morning, so we won't have much time to explore.

Thanks!

1. Welcome!
There should be plenty of parking but expect to pay "event rates" at any lot near the stadium. I live near a bus line so I usually leave the car at home when I go downtown.

I don't know if there is a bus line near your hotel but if you want to give it a try make sure you check the schedule carefully. many of the lines have little or no night & weekend service.

Here is a map of downtown parking lots:

Enjoy your stay and good luck to your team (unless they're playing Butler, ha ha).

2. Unfortunately, no public transportation option
I have checked. Ok, we'll bite the bullet and park somewhere downtown, since we will be walking around and checking out all the crazy stuff before the games.

Hopefully, my team will meet Butler for the national championship on Monday, but first there's a terrific West Virginia team in between for them.
