Chris Brown to Fans: Please, Save Me!

Posted Mar 11th 2010 4:03AM by TMZ Staff

Chris Brown is literally begging his fans to help keep him relevant -- and the convicted woman beater is using a recorded audio message to spread his desperate plea.

Brown's message is available through SayNow.com -- a website in which celebrities can record messages for their fans. In the message, Brown begs his fans to help "bring me back"-- saying "a lot of radio stations aren't playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn't expect them to."

Brown goes on to say he's "a better guy now" ... but says " won't be possible if I'm not relevant on the radio."

1. Does he just want us to listen to his music again or has he made positive change?
All the badmouthing of Michael Vick you have to give him a bit of credit. He isn't out there begging people to forgive him and he has voluntarily joined forces with the Humane Society to give 2 speeches a month (even during football season) to at risk kids who might one day get involved with Dog Fighting. Vick has even gotten the entire Eagles team involved with raising funds for the Humane Society dogfighting awareness unit. No, Vick can't undo what he has done but perhaps he can prevent others from doing it.

As far as I can tell, Brown just wants forgiveness. Perhaps if he was out there making people aware of the wrongs of domestic violence and getting men to recognize when they have anger issues, people might give him another chance. I'm not seeing this yet with Brown. He could do so much more to make a difference and perhaps turn his career and the public around (which btw I recognize that Vick has a long way to go too - but at least he is trying).

2. I think Vick "got it." I question whether Brown will EVER "get it."
See, Vick pretty much had it all taken away from him, and went behind bars.

Brown picked up some trash on the highway.

Big difference.

And the number one rule for anyone wanting the public to forgive and forget is to never ask them to forgive and forget.

I don't think anyone will ever "forget" what Vick did, but you're right...he served his time, and since being released, has taken steps to live a positive life.

Brown went through a whole "I'm sorry for what I did, whatever that was" phase, and I don't hink he's ever seen his acts through the same eyes as thge public. Until he does, it will be "buy my records, I've changed."

4. His relevance is as a beater of women.
Sorry, Chris.
