4. Here's mine:
1. The great State of Florida
2. Baltimore and any of its professional sports teams (even though the Orioles objectively suck)
3. The Smashing Pumpkins and the musical abilities of one Billy Corgan (although he very well may be an insufferable asshole personally)

6. The Eagles. I remember them twenty years ago, and I am so much happier with them
in the Andy era, yet people are always complaining about him and McNabb.

They could lose Vick anytime, though....

12. I saw them doing their "Hell Freezes Over" show on TV, opening with
acoustic guitars doing "Hotel California".

Made me want to put my guitars in the closet for a few years.

They're pretty good.

7. Mary Poppins
It's not as corny as "The Sound of Music," it has a tart, witty script, relevant interlocking themes and messages, unforgettable songs, knockout performances from a large cast of veterans and special effects still impressive 45 years later: animated cartoon ducks crossing a pond create ripples in the live-action reflections of Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews. Mary pours out medicine to the kids and it comes out a different color and flavor for each one. A staircase of smoke, and on and on. A milestone of cinema and the Disney-haters here can stuff it.
