Poll question: A real dumb question: what side do you part your hair on?
Some don't, some do, some have no hair to do it at all.

But I was looking at my avatar and in a post I realised I know very few people, male or female, who part their hair on their right side. I was trying to decide whether that's just me, or is this true?

1. My dear hyphenate!
NOT mostly on the right...always on the right...

See?

Remember that the picture reverses the actual view...

This pic is from last year at an open mic I went to, and it shows my part very well!

2. I used to part my hair on the right, too
Then when it got long I parted it in the middle. Then I got attacked by a clipper at the barber shop and now I don't have enough hair to part. But I have never parted my hair on the left.

3. My husband says he looks like a recent escapee from
San Quentin!

His is very short too, and so he doesn't have enough to part either...

but quite a long time ago, my mom used to part mine on the left.

7. I'm bald.
I have fringe on the sides and a few wisps up top. But not enough to part. No strain, though. It's just hair... B-)

8. Now that I keep my hair less than an inch long, I don't part it at all.
But back when I had hair down to my ass, I parted it in the middle...stoner style.

9. In the middle.
That's where it naturally falls, so that's where it stays.

13. I have tried the other side ...
... but my hair won't cooperate. It's just not my choice; the hair needs to part on the left.

18. Right now, my hair's too short to part
when it isn't - I just comb it straight back and let it do what it wants.

Mostly parts kinda in the middle when I do that, but with my hair thinning in front, I'm trying not to let it get long enough anymore. If I do that now, it looks like I have a start on a future comb-over - which I intend to avoid at all costs.

Edited on Mon Mar-01-10 10:45 PM by rcrush
One day I realized I havent been to a barber in about 9 months so I just started it tying it back.

Edit to add that I'm too old to have a pony tail.

Once it gets too thin on top I'm going back to short.

21. Depends if you're left or right handed.
Right handed so I part on the left. I assume left handed part on the right. Try combing on the right with your right hand. Seems more natural to 'pull-comb' than 'push-comb'.
