covered by Dar Williams. It is, IMO, better than the Pink Floyd version.

That is all.

3. I'm not a big fan of tazering people
But all parties involved in that heinous act of musical mutilation should be tazed until the beg for mercy....then tazed some more :grr:

6. That's a different version from the one I have
but I know that I'm committing blasphemy by suggesting anyone but Pink Floyd could do a good version. I love the one I have of hers because she lays down separate tracks of harmony and some whispering over the main song and I especially like that I can hear the words. I like the song for the image it portrays in the lyrics and I'm not much of a fan of heavy guitar riffs.

5. I have a Comfortably Numb story that just makes my husband roll.
When we had our daughter she ended up being an emergency C-Section delivery. They had given me a shot of Morphine to start with and then they took me to prep for surgery--including a spinal. Kev was not allowed in with me while they were prepping me, so he was standing outside the door waiting to be let in. He was stressing big time--he says it was the longest wait of his life.

They gave me the spinal and they were waiting to see if it had kicked in yet. They were poking me and asking "Do you feel that?" "Do you feel any contractions?" I was absolutely stoned off my ass from the Morphine and started singing "Comfortably Numb" as an answer. My husband walked into the delivery room to find me laying out on the table (bare pregnant belly pointed to the sky) singing Pink Floyd while the entire operating room staff stood there and laughed at me.

I suspect I will never quit hearing about it.

You may enjoy the Dar Williams cover, but only a few have heard MY stoned version...

9. Error. Your post contains an error. Let me fix it for you.
'It is, IMO, almost as good as the Pink Floyd version. But only almost. Nothing is better than the Pink Floyd version. I love Pink Floyd. I love Danger Mouse. I want to send him money.'

13. Close.
You got the nothing is better than the Floyd version right, without a doubt.

I heard the debut on Jim Ladd's radio show, all four sides, commercial free. I laughed, I cried, I got chills... (I was stoned out of my mind, and listening to it all alone on KOSS headphones)

My all-time favorite song, and nothing will ever compare to that night.
