This is a picture of me and my Grandparents puppy, Skosh.
My Grandfather got Skosh as a companion animal for my Grandmother. Skosh is a chinese chin,a very rare breed. The breed is over 3,000 years old. Emperors of China used to keep these dogs as pets and would have servants wait on them hand and foot. If a servant was found to be mistreating one of these chinese chins, they were punished severely!!

Skosh is so cute!! and he LOVES everyone. Never barks. (My Grandparent's last dog was a chronic barker) and he likes to run in tight little circles in the living room. He's a real riot!

the lid was wrapped too but they didn't seal the box of course. My Grandmother said she was very, very, surprised.

5. cute pup
i don't want to poopoo on your post, but please keep an eye on him and make sure he gets plenty of exercise and playtime. running in circles or tail-chasing is a habit that tends to lead to doggy OCD.

19. You're more than welcome, my friend...
It's well deserved. :yourock:

And he is such an unusual little dog. I've never seen one in life. I had the chance a few months ago, when I gave a friend of a friend a ride home, since his mother has the same breed of dog. I really wanted to see him, but I stayed in the car, just dropped the guy off, because I wanted to get home, had to go to the bathroom. x(

I thought I could picture him, but as soon as I got home, I looked up the breed... So cute! Wish he could meet my little Jack, about the same size... :loveya: :hi:

18. If it's "Skosh" like "Josh"... I don't have a clue.
.
But if it's "Skosh" like a one-syllable "toe-sh", it took me a while to remember that "skosh" is
short (and perhaps the way it's actually pronounced) for the Japanese (not Chinese, though)
word "sukoshi" -- which means "little bit of something".
.
I learned and used it in the Army.
.
"You want some o' this?"
.
"Just a skosh, thanks."
.
A skosh of sweetheart... that's what he looks like.
.

24. We used to have one of those dogs when we lived in Hawaii -
It was called a Japanese Spaniel but breed name has since changed to Japanese Chin. Her name was Shaver's Kato Atashi but we called her Tashi.

Skosh is a great name! My mom had a Pomeranian named that - it means little in Japanese.

Your grandparent's Skosh is so cute!!
