9. It's pretty straightforward

Only one team gets any points on any given end (which are like innings in baseball).

The winner of an end gets a point for every stone closer to the center than the opponent's closest stone.

The colored circles (4-8-12 foot) have no special meaning except to help the players figure out which stone is closest.

Throwing last (called the hammer) is a huge advantage so if a team gets scored upon, they will have the hammer on the next end. This leads to the strategy of "blanking an end" where the team with the hammer will forgo trying to win an end and settle for a 0-0 score but keeping the hammer for the next end.

Ten ends is a game. If tied, they play extra ends.
