2. I love the '80s! I just think that the 70s had a larger range.

4. the reason the 70s were so great is that corporations hadn't taken over the music business yet
Radio stations could play deep album tracks, and whole album sides. Artists were allowed the time to develop their careers and were not subject to being 'dropped' by their label if they didn't have several top ten hits right out of the gate.

Once corporations realized there was a lot of money to be made with this music, it all went to shit.

5. oooh, hard one. Toss up between 60s - all that great British invasion stuff
and early rock and roll and 70s = with punk and great eclecticism and diversity in all musics.

6. 20's
The 1920's were the best decade for music. Followed by the 30's. All downhill from there.

7. Can't vote.
Each decade has it's share of great tunes, as well as real stinkers.

Personally, I like 60's Motown, 70's Funk, and 80's Punk.
