Good morning Lounge
How are you today? Hope you had a good weekend?

Sorry I vanished last week - again. Wednesday I took a sick day. And Thursday and Friday I was just busy again.

Saturday I worked. It was crazy again. People were standing in line almost through the whole store. OK, not that bad but they were standing down the aisles. For that I did pretty good at the cash register. I had only 0.1cent difference. I am rather proud of myself.
Yesterday it was so nice outside I decided to take a nice walk. I also took my camera with me. I really ought to do that more often :)

So instead of the "Picture of the Day" some pictures from yesterday

You want to my place? You need to take this exit

The house in the middle is where I have my condo in

1. Good morning MissH!
Great photos! Must have been a very enjoyable walk.

Sorry to hear that you were feeling poorly last week, but I'm glad that you took a day off to recoup.

I had a pretty boring weekend, but I guess that's good sometimes. ;)

:hi: :loveya:

2. Good morning Callalily
:hi:  :loveya:

It was a very pleasant walk. I enjoyed it.

I am doing a lot better by now. About time. Last week was no fun.

Boring is good. Not always but sometimes. We all need time to recharge our batteries.

Tonight is the international meet-up again. Looking forward to that.

8. Yeah, boring can be good
sometimes I guess. But I did get a lot of chores done, so I'm glad for that.

Your international meet-up sounds like fun. You'll have to tell us all about it.

Have to get ready for work and head out, so wishing you a great day and a great evening.

3. Good Morning Miss Honeychurch :)
:hi:  :loveya: :pals:

No worries about vanishing, we all take our time away. Things are good here, Mom is home from the hospital. I'm slowly getting ready for work, I was thinking about taking a sick day just for a change of pace. Maybe tomorrow. ;)

Thank you for the pics, I can see your house from here!!

I've been kicking around the idea of buying a semi again. I've got the cash and credit to get into one and I've found some good deals out there. I've also found a good company to lease to. There is nothing or no one holding me here so I can be away from home a lot. I've put in an application at the company I want to lease to and I'm sure they will be calling me. If we check each other out and everything seems okay...well...I'm not sure if I have the courage built up yet.

It's hard to do something like that when you have security now. But I am also bored with security. No one should lead a boring life. The owner/operator job would also mean about a $17,000 increase in my pay per year if I don't have any major problems and I'm pretty good at weeding out stuff like that.

I've been thinking about this for a while now. It's just a question of committing now.

I'd say hear what your gut is telling you and if you feel it is the right decision go for it. You have the experience and know that you love driving through the country.

12. G'day, MissH!
:hi:

Welcome back! Glad you're feeling better. Winter has come back to visit, but up in the mountains and farther north. Helped a friend and her new roommate move on Saturday--in the light rain and drizzle. It was a long day, and I got lunch. :9 Went to a birthday brunch on Sunday.

I didn't get to see the cat over the weekend. I think he's sad about that. :(

Poor kitty. Are you sad too you didn't see him?

Btw, I think you look way better than your lookalike on FB, even if he is a celebrety.

:loveya:

I didn't have an old retro pic of me, so I couldn't play retro pics, but I could play celebrity doppelganger. One of my friends didn't recognize my doppelganger. Shocking, I know.

I missed the cat, too, but my brother stopped by and saw him.

18. A very good morning to you too Miss HC!
Guess what? I'm back on afternoon shift!! Yay. They asked me late last week if I'd like to go back to my 'regular' hours again. Of course my answer was a resounding YES! I have my life back.

Your photographs are beautiful. It's very cold here again today, 12 degrees Fahrenheit.

I hope you have a great day. I have a few hours yet till I have to leave for work, so I'm enjoying my morning coffee.

24. You would
The first time I went to the meet-up was begin of January. I met an Austrian lady there I connected with instantly. We met for lunch last Friday. She will be there today as well. Of course I hope to speak some English as well :)

Today the US Consul General in Frankfurt Edward Alford will give a speech "President Barack Obama and the Transatlantic Relationship". That ought to be interesting.
