1. Gotta say "Revenge of the Nerds"
which is really weird, since I went to college with a bunch of Ewoks.

2. What, no Breakfast Club, Valley Girls, E.T.,
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 01:29 AM by JCMach1
and many others?

Return of the Jedi was the lamest of the first three Star Wars movies by far. Almost fell asleep during that one. Stupid EWOKS

4. Have to agree with you about "E.T," but I also loved the Ewoks...
As long as nobody says that my dog looks like one... x(

BTW, I went to see that movie with my grandmother and she fell asleep, too... :D

7. Nooooo!
When I first brought my dog home, my friend said that he looked like an Ewok. But I disagreed, thought he looked more like a Furby. ;)

:loveya:

But I always liked John Candy... :D

And the photo of my pup with the Furby is funny... :D

10. No, it's not a great name, but that's Mel Brooks for ya
;)

And yes, your pup does look like a Furby. Plus, that's a similar nickname we all use for our "furbabies :)
Although my cat sometimes gets called "furball" :P

11. That explains it! LOL.
The point of my pic was that he looked more like a Furby than an Ewok... And I used it for my Christmas card, that year... :D

And that's pretty clever, unless the cat actually has a furball. Found one of those last week, but it doesn't happen often... x(

13. Furballs don't happen very often here, either.
But mine sometimes looks like a big ball of fluffiness than a cat. I don't have any examples, just this close-up:

14. OMG, what a beautiful cat!
Thanks so much for posting the pic! We have two cats here, little orange brothers, who are currently chasing each other all over the house, alarming the dog... ;)

But the cat of my lifetime I inherited from my uncle who died. She was also black and I swear that she was practically human... :D

Meet the original Rhiannon :loveya:

15. Rhiannon looks a lot like my Kipper!
(My past-wife named him after another cat she used to have...)

I know what you mean about being almost human, though sometimes he's a very annoying "human" :P

Here's a pic of him when I woke him up for the photo:

16. Thanks so much for the great pic! He's beautiful...

And looks like quite the personality... He has lovely eyes, unusual, that kind of eye contact, as if he thinks he can persuade you to do anything, LOL. Black cats just seem to have something special. :loveya:

Rhiannon was unusual because she was just so damn cooperative. She came when she was called and I could take her anywhere by just carrying her around, including in the car... She just loved people and insisted on attention, whether it was convenient or not. LOL. She was the ultimate companion and I still miss her everyday. ;(

The crazy cats who are currently tearing up the house are Tom and Huck. They're friendly cats, and very sweet (most of the time... ;) ), but they have each other... :-)

17. Black cats are special
but they're hell to photograph... nothing on which to focus but the eyes :P

Those two look like sweeties, too, although the one laying down appears to be thinking "Why are you taking my picture?" while the other appears to want to know what that is you're doing/holding :D

Well, I better get some sleep. It also looks like as per typical Lounge behaviour, we have turned this into yet another cat-thread!

20. I've had two black cats, so I know, too...
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 03:49 PM by Rhiannon12866
The other one I rescued from outdoors... She'd been abandoned. It took me four months of feeding her outside and finally having to borrow a have-a-heart trap from the vet to finally bring her inside... ;(

And I know exactly what you mean about the difficulty in photographing a black cat. I was having a tough time until my friend from rescue suggested a special background, she thought red. We had a red chair in the living room, so I photographed Rhiannon on, in front of and under that red chair, LOL. :D

Tom and Huck are brothers, from the same litter, but couldn't be more different. Huck is the one lying down and he's the trouble maker. Tommy watches, LOL, and is also the scaredy-cat, will hide if someone new comes in the house, while Huck is right there, is the greeter... But Tommy's also very sweet and very vocal, especially when he wants treats... ;)

I finally went to bed, too. Guess we're both on the other side of things when it comes to sleeping... :hi:

On edit: And, yes, I am afraid that we hijacked this thread...

18. YUB YUB!!!
After watching all 6 Star Wars movies several times I realized just how lame all of them are. Jar Jar Binks and C3PO are SSSSOOOOOO ANNOYING!!!!!

The only redeeming feature in all 6 movies is Carrie Fisher in her metal bikini.

although the 2007 Final Cut is far superior to the voice over version first released. Hell, that movie basically created cyberpunk.

36. The Right Stuff. Makes me stand up and salute the hype every time I see it.
It is, in a word, the perfect movie. Okay, that's 8 words--or five if you take out aside. But it's still a nuttingler.
