Frankly my only hope is a program called VESID-Vocational/Educational Services for Individuals With Disabilities, and I have an appointment today to find out more about them.

1. Well, I don't know you, but essentially, the trick is to find the perfect intersection of
1. What you like to do
2. What you are good at or have the potential to become good at
3. What people will pay for

Without knowing more about you, that's all I can say.

5. Sadly there's a 4th question. What am I capable of?
I'm not so confident about anything anymore. I figure my best bet if I can get back into a school mode where I can potentially change majors if I see I'm in an unemployable one. Which is a lot of them these days.

8. Right now I'm actually leaning toward becoming some kind of counselor

I'm afflicted with mental illness myself, and if I could get my mind strong enough to listen to other people I think my insight would be an asset. I'm also seriously considering studying philosophy and perhaps teach it some day. Assuming I live that long.

13. I work for a university
and I warn students about getting a degree in a field that is already saturated. For example our PSY program is very popular, however our graduates have a hard time finding a job locally because there are so many PSY degree holders competing for what jobs are out there...good luck, education/knowledge is power!

I know medical coders/transcriptionist are in demand, a short training period and has no physical demands, other than sitting for extended amount of time. Again, good luck!!

10. Go back as principal.
That's the only capacity that matters.

15. I fail to see why this was moved to the lounge.
There are always such advice threads allowed in GD.
