Poll question: Spring break! What should I do?
I'm free as a bee from now until next Saturday. I was just going over my options on what to do and I can't decide. What do you think?

1. Head out to the Southwest ...
... and maybe throw in a Fear and Loathing trip to Las Vegas. Think warm weather.

4. I love the Southwest, but
I'm afraid I don't have enough time to go out there and enjoy myself. It's around 2000 miles to Vegas. Most of my time would be spent driving. No sooner I'd get there then I'd have to turn around and come back.

2. Go to.....
Walla-Walla Washington!

Or possibly any city with butt or ass in it's name.

5. I love the great Northwest
All those pretty mountains and evergreens, but I fear it would take too much time to go out and visit. No sooner I'd get there then I'd have to turn around and come back.

6. Come to Washington DC
The cherry blossoms will be peaking this week. If you've never seen them, there's no better time. :hi:

8. That's a good idea
Within my range, too. I've been to DC before, but just on the interstates. I haven't gone to see all the monuments and visit the museums.

9. So what are you going to do?
I noticed from your profile that you're in Ohio. If I was on spring break in Ohio, I'd check out all the Indian mounds!

11. I think I'm going to do a combination of things
First I'm going to drink beer and DU. Then I might take one day and go to the casino (it's just 50 miles down the road), after that I may go on a little road trip and visit some relatives in Indiana.

I went to see some Indian Mounds when I was a kid. They were fascinating. We have one in my little town of Miamisburg simply known as The Mound. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure they've desecrated the sight by building a stair case that goes up it to a little platform on the top.

12. I've been to Florida before and I have to say
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 05:48 PM by Droopy
That I really like your state. I started from the north and the went down the coastal highway A1A and took that all the way down to Miami I do believe. If not, a good ways down that way. I then proceeded to go down to the keys. I saw Key West and turned right back around and stayed on Marathon Key. The next day I went across Alligator Alley and caught I-75 and took it north to Venice Beach (I think) before proceeding on home. I saw a little bit of everything while I was down there and it is a trip that I will always remember.

13. Head for the Canadian islands!
I wanted to do that when I was in Ohio, but decided to go to Cedar Point instead. Since Cedar Point hasn't opened for the year yet, take a couple of days up in the Canadian islands in Lake Erie.

16. Get drunk and screw
a nail to a tree and try to throw horse shoes around it.

Seriously, relax, drink some beers, maybe go the casino and spend that dough. Or try a getaway to South Beach (IF you can), that's always a fun Spring Break spot.

17. Go as far as your money will allow you to go...
I'm mad at myself that I didn't get to go anywhere. This was my last spring break and I didn't go anywhere. Enjoy yourself and your friends. Have a great week!!

18. Douse each reviving flicker of consciousness...
With another bottle of "nature's tranquilizer."

Seriously, how about a short road trip -- anything cool within, say, a 100-150 mile radius of you?

Cheers and have fun -- :toast:
